Another jewel of the Himalayas that is untouched by trekkers around the world is the Brahmatal Trek, which is devoted to Lord Brahma. It is beautifully positioned amidst the Himalayas and covered with blankets of snow. The trail allows you to see the centuries-old forest of oak and rhododendron. Walking in meadows besides Brahamatal Ridge, you can see many sites of the Roopkund Trek. A glance at the Garhwal Mountains in the distance on a clear day will totally melt your heart.

How to reach Dehradun:

There are several routes to reach the base camp of the Brahmatal Trek in Lohajung, majorly from Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Kathgodam. The trek starts and ends at Lohajung, covering around 22 kilometres.

  • By Air: The nearest International airport to Lohajung is the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. Our Brahmatal trek itinerary begins from here, taking you to the base camp in Lohajung. Dehradun is easily accessible from all major parts of India by flight, and from here you need to avail of transport by road which would cover a distance of around 293 kilometres within approximately 8.5 hours. 
  • By Train: The nearest railway station is the Dehradun junction, which is well connected to major cities from all over India.
  • By Road: One can reach the base camp at Lohajung by road from Rishikesh, Kathgodam, and Dehradun as well. It takes around 7.5 hours to cover the distance of 255 kilometres from Rishikesh, while it takes around 7 hours to cover the distance of 215 kilometres from Kathgodam.
